Watched Summer of Sam (1999) from letterboxd.com
Spike Lee's take on the "Son of Sam" murders in New York City during the summer of 1977 centering on the residents of an Italian-American South Bronx neighborhood who live in fear and distrust of one another.

P.S. Don’t watch this with your parents.

Watched Red Dragon (2002) from letterboxd.com
Former FBI Agent Will Graham, who was once almost killed by the savage Hannibal 'The Cannibal' Lecter, now has no choice but to face him again, as it seems Lecter is the only one who can help Graham track down a new serial killer.

I feel like this does more right than wrong, but some of the wrongs are egregious. The music is SotL but the strings on the jump scares are just ?

And then there is that line about the hair. Initially, it’s a funny non-sequitur, then it’s like “make yourself look nice for me, that’ll make you feel better.” TAF?

The end is still pretty effective. Even on repeat viewings.
