I could listen to @KyleBrandt talking about how the Bengals beat the Bills all day. The Bengals may not beat the Chiefs but this was still a great win.

How exactly did “tad bit” enter the American English lexicon?!

Tad: a little bit; a small amount; a little; slightly

Bit: a small piece or amount of something; slightly

Drives me bananas. Although people do say “freezing cold” and “boiling hot”, though, I guess technically, some things boil at very low temperatures.

I’ve discovered that they add (!) to closed captions when someone is being sarcastic. I’m going to use that online 😊

These are a symptom of some cancers, where tumours erode major blood vessels resulting in extensive and rapid blood loss that leads to death. Estimates are unreliable but more than 1 in 10 people with advanced cancer could die this way. Guidance for the management of terminal haemorrhages suggests the use of dark sheets and towels to camouflage the extent of the blood loss. That’s it.
