Why are the problems here not manifestly obvious to all involved?
For me, this is the most damaging result of our short-sighted rush towards #AI “productivity”:
More recently, heads said parents had been using AI to generate lengthy, legalistic complaints that required increasing amounts of time to administer.
This is a completely justified use of an LLM and it’s going to cost more time than an LLM will ever save. Unless you use an LLM to respond, in which case we’ll just have LLMs burning resources achieving nothing.

This somehow passed me by… apparently Israel’s own records show that at least two-thirds of them (46,200) were civilians. Absolutely lunacy.
This happened to someone I know who worked a charity. Reckon it’s rife in the public sector. Senior leaders protecting themselves rather than the organisation.

Ain’t that a fact? What makes it worse is that this is both sides of the political spectrum. On one side we have people refusing to use simple trans pronouns. On the other, we have people saying we should always use preferred pronouns (of any nature), which is equally ridiculous.

Sorry, how many seconds of income does this “penalty” equate to? Oh, it actually says in the article:
The £2m settlement agreed between Flutter and the Gambling Commission is equivalent to slightly less than two hours worth of takings for the company
So, that’s like me getting a £50 fine. For more context, the (maximum) fines for littering in central London range from around £200 to £500…
