Watched Basket Case (1982) from letterboxd.com
A young man carrying a big basket that contains his deformed Siamese-twin brother seeks vengeance on the doctors who separated them against their will.

The acting in this is appalling. The script is possibly worse. The effects are ambitious but terrible. The carnage is pretty tame. The sound is terrible and there’s way too much screaming.

Having said that, I quite liked it and I’m not sorry I watched it, so clearly had something going for it. The story might be bananas but it’s got some heart!

Watched Toy Story 3 (2010) from letterboxd.com
Woody, Buzz, and the rest of Andy's toys haven't been played with in years. With Andy about to go to college, the gang find themselves accidentally left at a nefarious day care center. The toys must band together to escape and return home to Andy.

I don’t think I’ve watched this properly since the first time I saw it and it was way better than I remembered!

Watched Die Hard (1988) by an author from letterboxd.com
NYPD cop John McClane's plan to reconcile with his estranged wife is thrown for a serious loop when, minutes after he arrives at her offices Christmas Party, the entire building is overtaken by a group of terrorists. With little help from the LAPD, wisecracking McClane sets out to single-handedly rescue the hostages and bring the bad guys down.

The quality of this movie shows with the scene in which they close Powell’s arc and nobody has to say a word.

Watched Bodies Bodies Bodies (2022) from letterboxd.com
When a group of 20-somethings gets stuck at a remote mansion during a hurricane, a party game gone very, very wrong ends with a dead body on the ground and fake friends at every turn as they try to find the killer among them.

You get to the dénouement and you’re, like, “Oh. Haha! That’s neat.”

And… well, that’s about it. “Lite” might be the word I’d choose.

I use Facebook only because a number of Groups I am part of insist on using it. Somehow, Facebook has decided that I like soccer and it just keeps surfacing the most banal crap about it. So depressing.

Huge list of things I could or should be doing with my time off work. Instead, today, I have been mosty cleaning up my gmail… Why?!

Watched Trollhunters: Rise of the Titans (2021) from letterboxd.com
The Guardians of Arcadia reunite to battle the nefarious Arcane Order, who've reawakened the primordial Titans.

This was never going to be good but I didn’t expect it to be this bad.

If you like your typical Japanese anime, you might enjoy the interminable parade of “one last chances” and Deus ex machina on offer here but, otherwise, it’s incredibly tedious.

The film and the series are filled to the brim with great concepts that result in wonderful visuals but the story, if you can even called it that by the end, just wears thinner and thinner, to the point where it actually gives up… and starts over.
